Frequently asked questions:
How can you provide first rate software programs for that cheap?

How can you provide first rate software programs for that cheap?

All the software you can order from this site is OEM and DSP software.

In the majority of points DSP software is similar to OEM software.

OEM is an acronym for “Original Equipment Manufacturer”. Normally OEM software comes with brand new computers only. DSP (Delivery Service Partner) software is more generic than OEM. It is provided for system integrators for building the so-called “clone” or no-name computers.

The DSP software is absolutely identical to the software found in a full version retail box product. The difference is a printed manual and a box that come with a retail version. DSP software is usually distributed without a box and a printed manual included. As well as OEM, DSP versions often come with only an electronic help manual which is built into the software. Purchasing DSP software one get the full version of the program recorded on a CD-ROM disk and the serial number required for the installation of the program.

Since DSP software is typically sold to more advanced users, system builders and computer consultants there is no technical support provided by the software manufacturer. However, because of the substantial support savings to the manufacturer the DSP and OEM versions are offered for sale at a significantly lower price.

1. How can you sell this software so cheap? It seems to good to be true - is there a catch?
There is no catch - the software versions that we sell are OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) which means you will receive the installation CDs only (they do not come in their original retail packing and do not include the manual). We do guarantee that all programs are the 100% full working retail versions - no demos or academic versions. When you order, you will receive all materials required for a complete installation - or your money back. Why should you pay hundreds of dollars more if you can get exactly the same product but much cheaper? You don't have to pay that much for the fancy box and manuals.

This software is recognized as a backup software.
2. How long will shipping take?
Shipping takes from 14 to 21 days depending on country of destination. Some orders take up to 4 weeks.
3. What does OEM stand for? What is the difference between OEM and full retail packaging?
OEM - Original Equipment Manufacturer. A retail version comes in a fancy box, OEM does not. A retail version contains a printed manual. The customers who purchase a retail version are eligible for tech support and different rebates. With our offer this is not possible - hence cheap prices.
Be aware that you will not be able to register the software with the manufacturer. Some of these products cannot be updated on-line.

To install Office XP Professional you are to do the following:
Launch Setuppls.exe file located in the root directory of the disc, then enter the provided Key when the system requires it.
Please, keep in mind that the Key you get is valid for the installation of all the components of the CD. In case you choose one of the component programs and insert the Key, the system may display an error message saying that the Key is an invalid one.
22. Why clean install of Windows is preferable in most cases?
It is a well-known fact that very seldom, if ever, one realizes the full potential of a new operating system when it's installed as an upgrade. The most meticulous of users can't guard against all the stray files, drivers, and registry entries that creep into a system through normal use. No sense is seen in starting out at a disadvantage. All the little problems that existed before the upgrade are likely to make the transition right along with the new operating system.

In case you decide to choose the upgrade installation of an OS, you may face a number of problems while the very procedure of the installation, like the installation KEY is not accepted by the system and identified as an invalid one. You may also have problems with running an upgraded Operating System.

Thus we would strongly recommend you to have a clean installation of Windows.
